strand by strand

Any book or blog I read about pregnancy gushes of the "glow" women have when carrying their unborn: thicker hair, vibrant skin, blah blah blah. I call shenanigans. I am a shower drain disaster. I have maybe 1/3 of the hair I started this adventure with last summer. I didn't realize how much my hair had dwindled until I saw some holiday photos and realized I can't keep treating what hair I have left as if it is the voluminous mop I've always had. Its just not. It all went down the drain.

But, baby-face, I love you. You are worth far more than drain pipes and terrible hair days. Hopefully, we're just a little bit closer to me not passing down my vanity. Thank you for already weaning it slowly, strand by strand, from my hands.
