bonjour Spring

It is a gorgeous Spring day.

I am thankful for my family and friends.

I am thankful for encouragement and challenges and my dear, funny husband.

I am thankful for this Spring. The change of season's reminds me that time passes and we get through whatever dreary, cold, heaviness we may be in.

Can I get an amen?

Hello! I grew up the third child of a Baptist minister and a fifth grade teacher. These days, I am a wife and a mother, spending time in a combination of classrooms, offices and my cozy kitchen. Our growing family resides in a petite mid-1800's home on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

I believe in the power of words; the power of finding your voice, or seeking it, at least. Which is why I'm here-- to root out my voice in the form of fingertips hitting a keyboard.

At easy answers, half-truths, & superficial relationships

At injustice, oppression, & exploitation of God's creations
So that you may work for justice, freedom, and peace.

May God bless you with tears
To shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger, & war.
So that you may reach out your hands to comfort them
To turn their pain into joy.

And may God bless you with

JUST ENOUGH FOOLISHNESS
To believe that you can make a difference in the world.

So that you can do what others claim cannot be done:
Cry the transforming Gospel of Jesus with your life to the ends of the earth.

Amen.
