The thing is, we moved into our new place about 3 months ago and kicked Layla out of the bedroom. She's been muscling and conniving her way back in ever since. Any mere moment the door is left open, she and I make eye contact and then she BOLTS into the room and under the bed. Its a game we play.
When she senses bedtime approaching, she is especially watchful for an open opportunity to hide herself away in our bedroom. Then, we go unsuspectingly to sleep and she can crawl happily in beside unsuspecting me. I have to admit- I think its funny that she's holding a slight grudge at Jake for stealing sleepy-cuddle-time. As long as she stays clear of our pillows. No cat butt on our pillows, please.
This whole thing is also really no wonder. Scrolling through my Photo Booth pics this is what you'd find- evidence of my most consistent companion while I write or research:
Maybe she's just been guarding me all along. My little guard cat.
[Funny Side Note: Layla is actually JAKE'S cat. She came to live with me back when Jake and I were just daters, and her allegiance shifted. She does love Jake though.] [She really does.]
ha ha ha, that would have been hilarious to see! :P Even better that she's technically Jake's cat!
