beach week 2015

Alice pouts a little bit every day over the end of our annual beach week (or is it me who is pouting?). She seems to wake up disappointed that the whole extended family isn't under one roof.

I'm missing: long walks on miles of sand, laughing with Uncle Stevie, Alice's hair spiraled by the humidity, outdoor showers, and eating every meal with Jake. 

Things I don't want to forget about this year's beach week: mom's entrance and reaction to her surprise party, Katie and Artie's jokes, Aidan's constant affection for his immediate family members, temporary tattoos with Maddie, Uncle Stevie and Aidan sharing a SUP board, Alice's adoration for Adam, Aunt Kathy's diligence in covering up the smell of mom's surprise party date bars, Kristi's morning drawing lessons with Katie. And everything.
