I love summer in March. I think this should happen every year. Despite that my students feel sure that its June and the school year is almost out- they're wearing shorts, so it must be true- I love it. The warmth is encouraging. How lovely for my feet to feel the fresh air and to drive with the windows down and the sunroof back.
On the other hand, our terribly out of shape pup is not handling the heat well. We trotted down to the beach and half way there she was panting and foaming at the mouth. She still loved it, but we had to help her get rid of that mouth foam on the walk back- the Saint Bernard in her, I guess.
Nice weather just makes everything kinder though, even if we're out of shape or downright distracted by the sunshine. It turns stuffed up apartments into airy abodes. It converts empty parks into teeming community gatherings. It transforms commuting into a chance to feel the warm breeze or stand in the sunshine.
