I will be like the hummingbird.

Some inspiration for your Monday. I love this little video so much- it is a beautiful reminder. We are not called to change the world and move mountains. We are called to do the best we can.

I want to be like the hummingbird. Determined. Diligent. An example. I want to do the best I can.

Hello! I grew up the third child of a Baptist minister and a fifth grade teacher. These days, I am a wife and a mother, spending time in a combination of classrooms, offices and my cozy kitchen. Our growing family resides in a petite mid-1800's home on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

I believe in the power of words; the power of finding your voice, or seeking it, at least. Which is why I'm here-- to root out my voice in the form of fingertips hitting a keyboard.

To shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger, & war.
So that you may reach out your hands to comfort them
To turn their pain into joy.

And may God bless you with

JUST ENOUGH FOOLISHNESS
To believe that you can make a difference in the world.

So that you can do what others claim cannot be done:
Cry the transforming Gospel of Jesus with your life to the ends of the earth.

Amen.
