"He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe is as good as dead; his eyes are closed." ~Albert Einstein
I read that quote over at Enjoying the Small Things. I got a bit teary, and thankful for moments of rapt awe. What beautiful moments. Right now I'm in the mess of tech week. Fabric to be hung. Lights to be focused. Kids to be herded from stage left to right. In the heat of that messy, work-y, madness, I am thankful for awe. Moments of brilliance onstage, in the sincerity of a child's voice. Moments of quiet in our living room, basking in the glow of our first Christmas tree. Moments together.
I had never heard that quote before. Thank you for sharing. There is something wonderfully spiritual in a glowing tree, is there not?
