who feels like running 26.2 miles?

There are few things better than experiencing the joy my mother gets from
encouraging her children. She loves giving us a good cheering to.

This weekend I'm heading to New York City- one of my favorite places- to spend time with my mom- one of my favorite people- to cheer on my brother- one of our favorite past times. He's running the New York Marathon on Sunday.

My brother does this weird thing where he runs marathons.

I say it like that because it IS weird. You can't tell me that committing to running that inhuman distance is logical or sane. Never mind doing it more than once. Or more than twice.

Stevie is a regular marathon-er these days.

The theatre term for "good luck!" is "break a leg!" Somehow I just don't think that term applies appropriately to running...any suggestions?

  1. I found your blog from the link up on Casey's site. I'm so glad I did. It's great! I'm a new follower. I'm going to go look around some more, but I love this post!! And yeah, I don't think "break a leg" is the appropriate encouragement. :) LOL
